Turn The Tide

Welcome to Turn the Tide Health Collaborative

We are a network of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) health care practitioners donating our services from our private offices to the uninsured and underinsured using community based pay it forward payment options.

Turn the Tide is a way for practitioners to "give back" in a way that both empowers patients and raises awareness about the value of CAM in our health care system.

We are gathering data to show the efficacy of CAM to be used to help change the face of health care in America. Thank you for visiting our site and helping us "Turn the Tide" in health care!

Discover Your Options:

Explore our website to learn about the many types of complementary and alternative health care services offered through Turn the Tide. We encourage you to learn about each type of service and select for yourself the type of service you need. You will also find practitioners biographies and contact information for each provider.

Schedule An Appointment:

After choosing the type of alternative medicine you´d like to receive, select a practitioner from our listing. All practitioners maintain busy practices, so please contact them as they request, either by phone or email. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response.

Be sure to mention you are interested in scheduling a Turn the Tide appointment, otherwise you will be scheduled as a regular patient and may incur fees based on payment policies of individual practitioners.

All appointments are booked at practitioners´ discretion. If the practitioner has already filled their Turn the Tide appointments for the month, please contact their office on the first day of the following month to inquiring about scheduling. Appointments are scheduled on a first come first serve basis.

Attend Your Appointment:

All appointments take place in practitioner´s individual offices. You will be asked to complete a short health survey before and after the care you receive. These anonymous surveys enable us to measure the effectiveness of complementary and alternative medicine. We hope to use this data to show the value that complementary and alternative medicine would bring to a more inclusive, integrated health care system for America.

Payment Options:

Following your appointment, you will be asked to make a cash donation to Turn the Tide or donate your time to helping others in whatever way you see fit. Please see the "donate" page for more details about how to "give back." In order to ensure an effective exchange of services, you will be asked to sign a participation agreement stating what payment option you will be using.

If you have health insurance that covers our services, of if you are financially able to privately pay, please visit our offices as paying patients or clients. Please respect that Turn the Tide´s practitioners donate a small amount of their time each month and our purpose is to serve the uninsured and underinsured.

Additionally, there may be restrictions that a practitioner who contracts with an insurance company can not give away services to someone who holds a policy with that same company. That applies mostly to chiropractors and physical therapists in our network.
