About Dr. Max Jacobs

Dr. Max Jacobs is a practicing Buddhist and Chiropractor in Portland, Maine. In 2010 his mother died from aggressive breast cancer, which motivated him to begin helping others deal with death and dying related issues. He recently formed a monthly workshop for people interested in exploring life and death from a Tibetan Buddhist perspective, utilizing the popular book, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. More information is available at livingwelldyingwell.blogspot.com This workshop is appropriate for people of any faith/religious background. See the poster.

Dr. Jacobs also runs a free weekly Qigong and meditation class. More information on that is available at wujiqigong.blogspot.com. See the poster 1. See the poster 2. The death/dying class "Living well, dying well" will be the first Tuesday of every month, 6:30-8:00pm. Both classes are free to anyone interested, and there is an optional donation box for the charity, The International Campaign for Tibet. I'd like people to register ahead of time by calling our office 774.6251 or email me (below) so I know how much space we need.

In his spare time, Max enjoys hunting wild edible and medicinal mushrooms, and for the past year has been working on developing an all natural and effective herbal deodorant without any synthetic chemicals.
