I received my training from the Boulder School of Massage Therapy in 1995. Since that time I have worked in many chiropractic offices working mostly with clients who have neck injuries & shoulder problems. My style is mostly patient & treatment specific (i.e. I usually spend most of the time on one area and very little on the entire body). Of course, I have no problem doing a full body massage either. I incorporate range of motion and stretches as much as possible.
I think one aspect that gets neglected often is our bodies’ ability to heal themselves. We may see a patient for an hour a week at most but they live with themselves twenty four hours a day. Therefore if we can help the client help themselves then they will get the results they need much faster than the patient who doesn't do (or at least try) the exercises, stretches, or advice they may get from us.
We have over 600 muscles in the body, we were born to move!
